Basic IT infrastructure is the foundation on which all of an institution’s information systems run: from email and electronic document management to systems that process restricted information. NVP «Plasmotekhnika» designs, implements and supports IT infrastructure as a full-cycle systems integrator in information protection: we build networks, computing platforms and communications from the outset with the security requirements that will be placed on them in mind — in particular during the creation of a CIPS or ICS security authorization under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 712.
This approach spares the client a typical problem: infrastructure built without regard for a future security assessment often needs costly rework — from restructuring the network to replacing equipment. We build in segmentation, manageability and documentation at the design stage rather than «bolting them on» after the fact.
Design and implementation: cloud, on-premises and hybrid solutions
We do not tie the client to a single deployment model. The choice between the cloud, in-house equipment or a hybrid scheme is the result of an analysis of the tasks, the information-protection requirements, the available resources and the institution’s development plans. A typical scope of work:
- survey and audit of the existing IT infrastructure, recording of bottlenecks and risks;
- design of the target architecture: cloud services, on-premises (on-prem) solutions or a hybrid model;
- implementation: equipment supply, installation, configuration, migration of data and services;
- preparation of operational documentation and handover of the system to the client’s IT service.
For government bodies, the deployment model is additionally aligned with the legal requirements on where data is processed and stored; for businesses, the key criteria are more often the total cost of ownership, scalability and service continuity.
A separate block of work is data centres: from a server room to a machine hall. We design the premises, select the engineering equipment, install racks, cabling systems and monitoring — and at this very stage we build in physical-security and access-control requirements. For systems that will process restricted information, the architecture is aligned from the outset with the requirements of technical information security.
Corporate networks and structured cabling systems
The network determines performance, manageability and — critically for our clients — the ability to separate access between departments and zones with different levels of restriction.
- design and construction of local and geographically distributed networks (LAN/WAN);
- network segmentation and separation of security zones;
- corporate Wi-Fi with centralised management;
- SCS: design, installation, testing and certification of cabling systems;
- phased modernisation of existing networks without stopping the institution’s operations.
SCS installation is carried out together with the engineering systems — uninterruptible power, earthing, climate control of server rooms — so a single team is responsible for both the cabling and the engineering parts of the project. We are not tied to any particular equipment: the solution is selected to fit the task, the budget and compatibility with the existing hardware fleet.
IP telephony and corporate communications
We build corporate communications on the basis of IP telephony — either as a standalone project or as part of a comprehensive infrastructure modernisation.
- IP PBX: design, deployment, migration of the numbering plan;
- integration with telecom operators’ networks and existing telephone equipment;
- video conferencing and meeting-room equipment;
- integration of telephony with the client’s corporate information systems.
For institutions that work with restricted information, we separately address the protection of voice traffic and the isolation of the telephone network from other zones.
One team from design to support
Basic infrastructure rarely exists on its own: in most projects it is deployed together with server platforms, data-storage systems and disaster-recovery plans — this work is described in the server solutions, storage systems and DRP line of work. The client gets a single accountable contractor at every level: from the cable route to the recovery of services after a failure.
| Stage | Result for the client |
|---|---|
| Survey and audit | A report on the current state, risks and bottlenecks |
| Design | Technical solution, equipment specification, cost estimate |
| Implementation | Installed and configured infrastructure, a set of documentation |
| Support | Technical support, maintenance, development of the system |
Where the infrastructure concerns the processing of restricted information, the work is carried out in compliance with the TPI licensing requirements (licence and permit details — [TBC]).
Do you take on the modernisation of infrastructure built by another contractor?
Yes. The work starts with a survey and audit: we record the actual state, document the configurations and prepare a modernisation plan that takes into account the investments already made in equipment.
Where to start
Describe the task: network modernisation, fitting out a server room, a move to the cloud or a comprehensive project «from scratch». We will carry out a survey, propose an architecture with justification and prepare a cost estimate. Leave a request via the form below or call: +38 (044) 204-83-62.
